From the Venerable Master - April |
 Greetings Brethren,
We are now well into spring and April heralds a busy month for our valley. Wasting no time, it commences on 1st with Maundy Thursday program at 7pm when the lights will traditionally be extinguished, followed by dinner and then the relighting ceremony.
April 5th is the Stated Meeting when the Valley will be visited by the Deputy Grand Master; a meeting which I trust will be well attended, thus showing support for Symbolic Masonry from whence we all came.
Saturday April 17th, will be the Advisory Council meeting at 9am which all brethren, whether in office or not, are welcome to attend. If you have concerns, if you have anything to contribute for the good of the Valley, this is the place for your voice to be heard.
Sunday April 18th, we will be holding a Super Breakfast as a fund raiser to assist in ensuring the financial health of SASR. Those who attended the last breakfast will tell you the food (prepared to your order) is delicious and the company great, so bring your family and friends, help make this as successful as the last one. Need I say it also an excellent opportunity to introduce a prospective candidate to the Scottish Rite?
Looking ahead to summer, several brethren have expressed a wish that we have another BBQ and being happy with the facilities at Niguel Regional Park that venue has been booked for Saturday August 14th. This is just advance notice so that you may mark your calendars. Further information regarding time, directions to the Park, etc., will be published at a later date.
